Zach began his guide career at 16 years old working as a summertime whitewater guide on the Rogue River. In 2008 he acquired his USCG 100 ton Master Captain’s license and began fishing full time. Growing up on the banks of the Umpqua river, it was decided early on in life that working on the water and providing clients the opportunity to bring home that special “catch of a lifetime” was his passion. Now, at 26 years old, he continues that passion. His program consists of winter steel heading on all the rivers of Southern Oregon, as well as offshore ocean trips in Homer, Alaska for trophy halibut, salmon, and lingcod, and of course the Rogue River canyon in the fall.
